Llanmiloe today

Llanmiloe has the very active Llanmiloe and District Community Association, which puts on events throughout the year, including a firework display, and also owns Llanmiloe Resource Centre. This is well used by groups and individuals, and includes a licensed bar. The LCDA also provide a pottery room, carpenter’s workshop and polytunnel for their adjacent allotments. There are also three shops for the village on LCDA land, including a hairdresser’s and the village shop which incorporates a Post Office branch.

Llanmiloe includes Llanmiloe County Primary School, which has 64 pupils aged 4 to 11.

The village is on the main A4066 that runs from Laugharne to Pendine. Although the latter village is a couple of miles away, the two places are nearly linked by the extensive number of caravans that are rented out or holiday homes – the area can become very busy in the summer months with tourists.

Llanmiloe is also on the Wales Coastal Path, because it is so close to the sea, and as the Path runs through Llanmiloe the walker can see the spectacular wooded escarpments to the north of the village.

Llanddowror and Llanmiloe Community Council work closely with Llanmiloe and District Community Association, so you can contact the Clerk Mrs. Vicky Mitchell on [email protected] if you wish to be put in contact with them.
